फेकूराम की भजन मंडली का ‘नमो नमो’ मन्त्र तो एक लम्बे अरसे से चल ही आ रहा था, मगर भक्तों में होड़ लगी तो कुछ को लगा की अब शिवजी की जगह इन्हीं को बैठा दिया जाए – सो ‘हर हर महादेव’ भी हड़प लिया गया. भला हो शिव भक्तों का कि उन्होंने यह दांव चलने नहीं दिया. और फिर खुद शंकराचार्य ने इस पर एतराज़ कर दिया. खैर, यह तो रहा परिवार के भीतर का झगडा. सुलट जायेगा.
मगर इसी बीच एक मोर्चा बनारस में खुल गया. फेकूराम के बैंड बजे तो दिल्ली तक में हमारी नींद उड़ाये हुए थे ही मगर अचानक एक अदना सा आम आदमी जा कर उसे ललकार आया. भक्तों ने अंडे फेंके, स्याही फेंकी – हर जतन कर के देख लिया. मगर आख़िरकार उसने पोल खोल ही दी. कहने लगे कभी इन्होने कांग्रेसियों को या कांग्रेसियों ने इन्हें काले झंडे दिखाए? अंडे फेंके? तो ये बौखलाहट किस लिए है जी? आप दोनों की नूरा कुश्ती चलती रहती और सब आपस में बाँट कर लूट लेते – जैसे करते आये हैं – तो कोई परेशानी नहीं होती. आप की बौखलाहट से हे तो कई राज़ एक साथ खुलने लगे हैं.
तभी एक भक्तिन को लगा की उनकी भारत माता के साथ ‘गैंगरेप’ हो रहा है. देखिये नीचे इन भक्तन की ट्वीट. जैसे उन्हें मजबूर किया जा रहा है की वे अपनी माँ का सामूहिक बलात्कार देखें. अब तक तो अम्बानी, मनमोहन, चिदम्बरम, सिबल और फेकूराम की फ़ौज भारत माँ की आरती उतार रही थी – कहाँ से चले आये ये बलात्कारी! आरती उतर रहे थे वो विहिपई और बजरंगी सेनानी जो प्रेमी युगलों को सरे बाज़ार बेआबरू कर रहे थे. पबों से निकाल निकाल कल निर्वस्त्र कर रहे थे. आरती उतार रहा था राज ठाकरे. किसी ने इन भक्तिन के उद्गार उस वक़्त देखे?
आज तक इन भक्तिन को नहीं लगा कि उसकी माँ के साथ कोई नाजायज़ हरक़त हुई है. हाँ भक्तिन तो फेकू की भजन मंडली से है, फिर हम क्यों 1984 को बीच में घसीट रहे हैं? 1984 वाली लाइन तो उनके डायलौग का हिस्सा थी – बंटवारा तो ऐसे ही हुआ था. आप 2002 की बात कीजिये और हम 1984 की करेंगे. वर्ना नूरा कुश्ती के क्या मायने होते? अब ये साला पाकिस्तान का दलाल, कहाँ से आ गया? किसे इसने कहा की सब घालमेल कर दे! सारा गुड़ गोबर कर दिया है इस बलात्कारी ने – और याद रहे बलात्कारी तो पाकिस्तान में ही बनते हैं. हम तो सिर्फ आरती उतारते हैं 1984, 1992 या 2002 की तरह. खैर, छोडिये ये सब फ़िज़ूल की बातें. एक कतरन देखिये:
वैसे तो इस कतरन की ज़रुरत नहीं थी मगर क्योंकी भक्तन साध्वी के अपने पिछले कुछ साल इसी डायलौग को दोहराते हुए बिता दिए (और उनकी भांती के कई औरों ने भी) इसलिए यह बात सामने रखनी पड़ रही है – ताकि सनद रहे.
मज़े की बात यह है फेकूराम की भजन मंडली ही नहीं खुद महारज भी सकते में आ गए हैं. बड़ी मुश्किल से उन्हें लाइनें याद कराइ गयी थीं – समझाया गया था की चुनाव “मियां मुशर्रफ” नहीं लड़ रहे हैं. उन्हें बताया गया था की आपे से बहार होना ठीक नहीं है. “इटली नी कुत्ती” जैसे फिकरे प्रधान मंत्री पद के दावेदार के मुंह से शोभा नहीं देते. इसलिए “शहज़ादे” की बात करो (बेशक शब्द उर्दू से उधार लेना पड़े – नामुराद मियाओं की ज़ुबान से). कांग्रेस-मुक्त भारत की बात करो, विकास की बात करो – और कोई ठोस सवाल पूछे तो टाल जाओ. 2007 का करण थापर वाला कांड जिसमें आप स्टूडियो से ही उठ कर चल दिए थे, उसे दोहराने से अच्छा है की किसी बातचीत में जाओ ही मत. सब कुछ तो अच्छे से रिहर्सल करवा कर ठीक कर लिया था. किसे पता था की एक साला पाकिस्तानी एजेंट, मियां मुशर्रफ का भेजा हुआ (उनसे पूछिए पाकिस्तान के शासक का नाम तो यही बताएँगे), जो कहता है अपने आप को आम आदमी, रंग में भंग डालने चला आएगा? उलटे सीधे सवाल पूछेगा और खेल बिगड़ेगा? खैर जाने दीजिये यह सब बातें. चुनाव भी भला मुद्दों पर बहस के लिए होते हैं? राजनाथ ने कह न दिया है मुद्दे की किसी भी बात का जवाब नहीं दूंगा. जनतंत्र हमारी लौंडी है हम जैसे चाहें बर्ताव करें, आप कौन होते हैं जी?
एक सवाल फिर भी रह ही जाता है: आप एक साथ कंग्रेसी दलाल, पाकिस्तानी दलाल, माओवादी, फोर्ड फौन्डेशन के दलाल वगैरह हों तो आप वाक़ई कोई शातिर चीज़ होंगे ही. भक्तों को ऐसे लोगों से बच कर रहना चाहिए – न जाने कब जादू टोना कर के सब कुछ लूट ले जाएँ?

Unbelievably hilarious. Does Madhu Kishwar has any bits of mind left with her? I don’t believe this is the same sane ‘bhaktin’ i’ve met only a few years ago. Something or someone has done to her.

Aditya, you made me smile, although you probably did not intend to. You are a declared anti-Modi because of your convictions which does not surprise. But should that make you pro-Kejriwal too, in spite of his recent and, I assume, the first Ganga-snan, temple hopping, cuddling with influential Hindu religious leaders and silence during Azan. Does it not look like Tamasha by a politician who does not have anything else to display, devoid of any ideology, swinging between extreme right and extreme left, as politically convenient? Is that not typical of a small town shopkeeper who would sell Marxism and Hindutva at the same time, just for profits. Is a known devil not better than an unknown? Unfortunately, I did not know much about Ms Kishwar. But searching for your past Kafila blogs, I came across her name. Someone addressed her as Mausi, in a derogatory tone. Then I find she is your colleague and, may be, even a Marxist. Also, I saw her being criticized by two US politicians of opposite hues in Kafila, one devout supporter of extreme capitalism and the other of FDR capitalism, but both non-Hindus. Kishwar describes Modi as one who subdued RSS affiliated VHS, Bajrang dal, some Kisan Sangh and also demolished hundreds of illegal temples constructed on government land. But you think they all are with him. You also seem to have no respect for Kishwar, and she uses a term ‘intellectual terrorists’ for anti-Modis. For a Kafila reader, mostly because of your blogs, a non-social scientist, but with political curiosity, it all seems very confusing, even if interesting. Please just enlighten me on what I am missing.

1. Madhu was addressed as Madhu mausi” by fellow kafila-ite Shuddhabrata Sengupta. But characteristically, you read only the title and not what is written in the piece. So, here is Shuddha himself in that piece:
“Madhu Mausi (I am calling her Mausi, because she has tweeted about being more comfortable these days with people who, following ‘Bharatiya’ tradition, apply familial suffixes to women’s names, as a mark of their respect, rather than to those she considers to be ‘inauthentic’, deracinated feminists)…”
Shuddha also gives the link to the twitter message in this piece ,which you can read if you so desire. There she specifically says she feels more comfortable with men who address her as ‘didi’ or ‘mausi’. Shuddha is using that to ask, in a manner of speaking, really, is that so? Clearly, even you think this is derogatory!
2. I do not want to waste or energy time discussing Madhu Kishwar. She can hold any opinion of us or of anybody else in the world. That is one thing that costs no money. Opinions come free. Just one correction: she will be very offended to hear you describe her as a Marxist.
3. As for Arvind Kejriwal, I do not see anything objectionable in any of the things you mention above. For one thing, he is a believer and for a believer to go and take a dip in the Ganga and then go to Kashi Vishvanath and Kaal Bhairav temples is surely no oddity. Most politicians do it routinely and with complete cynicism. And silence during the azan is the most respectful gesture you can make to the Muslims in this context. For the entire period, this was the practice during the Anna Hazare phase of the movement, when the dharna at Ramlila maidan was going on, as there was a masjid adjacent to the maidan. Belief in one religion does not mean you have to be disrespectful to others’ beliefs.

क्या खूब कही! …. अगर यह सिलसिला पूरे देश में चल निकले तो फेंकू की भजन-मंडली का सुर चींपों चींपों में बदल जाए। वैसे जब कुछ तथाकथित सार्वजनिक बुद्धिजीवियों को राग-फेंकू में तबला बजाते और तानपुरे को कसते; एक खूंखार मानसिकता को वैधता देते, कुतर्क को थियरी का दर्जा बख्शते, मिजाज़ से तानाशाह और विचारों से पूरी तरह सिफर आदमी के समर्थन में किलकारी भरते देखता हूं तो कई बार यह पूछने का मन होता है कि ऐसे लोगों को आज तक आखिर क्यूं इतनी तवज्जो् दी जा रही थी। फिर, कई बार लगता है कि हमारे बीच आम जनता की बात करने वाले लोग इतने कम होते हैं कि अक्सर ज़मीनी सक्रियता के नाम पर कुछ भी न्यूनतम कर देने वालों को हम कंधों पर उठा लेते हैं।
