Hmm, nice. This from a guy who also writes this http://kaipullai.com/2011/10/26/the-greatest-heist-in-indian-history-how-indian-history-was-changed-and-we-didnt-even-notice-part-2-the-real-story-of-the-islamic-rule-that-we-were-never-told/ and this http://kaipullai.com/2012/01/18/four-little-things-that-shaped-india/
We are headed in the right direction, Kafila… :|
Oh yes, I understand… We ought not to question people who say the right thing.. never mind if their views on other topics are anathema to us. This was what Ms Menon was asking us to do a few months ago – “what is wrong in shaking hands with the right wingers as long as they fight for the right cause”.
The brave new progressive left… Why call it Left even? Let us just call it the big happy Middle. Leftists, Rightists, centrists; all joined together as one happy family for the greater cause. I must be growing senile not to embrace this mighty amalgamation of the righteous.

I guess I must sound churlish and given to nitpicking. You are right about doing the wrong things for the right reasons. If only I were a little more broadminded and less pompous about my delusions…

What is the relevance of the author’s views on other topics? He has presented a well researched piece on the kingfisher crisis; it’s not something he pulled out of his ass.
Should everyone subscribe to the holy grail of socialism or be a card carrying leftist before they get mentioned on kafila?
