Invitation from Kafila

Dated: Saturday, 28 September, 2013

Dear Narendrabhai,

We at Kafila would like to invite you to a small get-together in Lodi Gardens tomorrow (Sunday 29th) at 10 am. We really really (really!)  hope you can make it.

Best wishes forever,

Kafila Team

Dear Kafila team,

We thank you for your kind invitation to Mr Modi. He sends his regrets that he was unable to attend your get-together as he was otherwise occupied on Sunday 29th at 10 am.

  1. Is Kafila also the fan of fascist Modi? If yes congratulations, one more team added in Hindutva list

    1. The timing of the get-together coincides with the timing of Modi’s rally in Delhi. Hence, it is a caustic and incredibly funny joke. No, I don’t think they are fans of Modi.

  2. I am sure here kafila is appreciating the fact that they received an apology from team NaMo. If otherwise, people go get a life and improve page hits by writing about Lalu if at all!

    1. This means Modi can say sorry to kafila for not attending a meeting but he will not say sorry for 2002. @Shaistaa: Did you just wake up? Kafila has ALWAYS been the biggest fan of Modi. You haven’t been reading the posts carefully enough.

  3. Either this is pointless and is just here to serve as click bait or the Kafila team have some inside joke going on or the writer has done a poor job of explaining the relevance of this. I’m going for the first one.

    1. Hafiz and Shaistaa,
Take a look at this link to read posts on Modi on Kafila.

And here I am on the gentleman:
      http://kafila.org/2013/02/09/we-remember-gujarat-2002-and-we-know-youre-lying-about-development/
Does it seem even faintly likely that Kafila would send MoNa a fervent invitation to join us for a romp in Lodi gardens?
It’s ironic – my posts and responses to comments are usually attacked for gratuitously “dripping with sarcasm” and so on. Now when I am actually being sarcastic, it is taken literally.
What to say…life is like that only.

    1. Preet, many many thanks! You couldn’t have put it better – succinct and pithy:
“CLICK ON THE LINK AT THE END OF THE ARTICLE”.
MR – of the three possibilities you list, I’m afraid the third one is correct – “the writer has done a poor job of explaining the relevance of this.”
I hereby appoint Preet Tyagi as Interpreter at Large of poor writers trying to be funny. Thanks again.
